Life can be very hard. We carry the weight of losses, heartbreak, regrets and sometimes, the devastation going on in the world seeps into us. Every so often, there are experiences that allow us to escape these hardships and even the monotony of everyday life. While some of these experiences solely offer escapism, the more profound ones remind us what it truly means to be human. They also force us to reexamine the life paths we are on and whether they are in service to our greater purpose.
